QUESTION 3 (by a visitor to PianoMagic.com):
I am very amazed at how some guys (with no formal training) can play songs without even rehearsing or practicing it. It's as if they knew what chords to play beforehand.
Can I learn to do this with your course?

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
You get the feel, using GUESTIMATES initially, then you get better at it with practice. It is the LIKELY choice that you take--it is usually right! LOGS

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
I am sure if you don't understand how to do it from the lessons you only have to ask Mike. I am impressed he goes into so much detail as needed person by person and is easy to understand. I don't understand everything they talk about in the forums but I like being able to see it. I now can play most songs I can think of and can predict chords better than I thought was possible.

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
Yes that is exactly what you are going to be able to do.

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
I am here just to be able to breathe some music !

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
Yes,I reckon you can. Buffy(UK member)

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
Mike has a wonderful way to teaching us how to know what chords are played with any note of melody. And, it's EASY! Once you learn it, you've got for life.Rusti

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
That is EXACTLY what PMMO focuses on; how music thinks. When I first entered the PMMO forums, Mike talked to me at length about learning to 'think' like music 'thinks.' The ability you seek is what Mike and many PMMO members have already found, and it is fundamental to PMMO. With PMMO and practice, you CAN learn to play by ear. I am. H.S.

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
That's what I am learning in this course. This is the only music course that I've been to that teaches me "how music thinks" and so "how music works" in a song. It's no trial and error to decide what chords to play before hand. You need valuable useable information and this site is full of INSIGHTS because Mike does not teach from head knowledge but from heart experiences. Tell me, where do you find a teacher like this? When you find one, don't let him go. Rosa

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
Again, come and see. If it is as straight-forward as Mike says, that the Basic Major Chords of each key (Major chords beginning with the 1st, 4th and 5th tone of the key) are usually all that are needed, and the pattern is to begin and end with the first chord and play the first chord as every other chord, then learning to play almost spontaneously by the average Joe (or maybe less than average like yours truly), seems very doable.

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
Yes, I've been amazed by these guys and gals too. But they had to learn it somewhere. Yes, you can learn how it works right here with Piano Magic. You will find the answer in this course. What will you do with it?

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
One big ol' "YES!" And it's easier than you might/probably think. Randy V.

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Student):
Mike wasn't fooling when he said if you can whistle, sing or hum a song, you can learn to play it by ear. Now, you may not be able to do this tomorrow, but he will get you doing it much quicker than you think you can...if you follow what he has laid out. Popeye
