QUESTION 6 (by a visitor to PianoMagic.com):
Your course sounds interesting but what
about the pace? Can I use electronic keyboard to take your
lessons?
ANSWER (by Instructor Michael Anderson):
PIANOMAGIC RESPONDS - You move at your own pace on whatever
keyboard is available. Piano or electronic keyboard is perfectly
suitable. If you use a keyboard, be sure it has a jack for
a sustain pedal, and GET THE PEDAL! Otherwise, your keyboard
will tend to sound more like a toy than a fun instrument.

ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
The pace is entirely controlled by you. I play for hours now,
because it's fun ( and I was the original "Do anything
to avoid piano practice" kid) Buffy (UK member)
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
From what I've read on our Forum, pianos, digital pianos,
and keyboards seem to be the choice of instruments. I have
a digital piano, but I also own a keyboard. Whatever you like,
they all work well with Piano Magic.Rusti
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
I have a piano and a keyboard. I place my keyboard next to
my computer and play along with the lessons. Then, I go to
the piano and see how wonderful it sounds. I have a very hectic
schedule and it is especially important to me to be able to
take the lessons when I have the time. Pam Shedd
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
You can move at your own pace, as quickly or as slowly as
you feel comfortable with. I am a full-time student and stay-at-home-dad,
so sometimes I have quite a bit of time for the piano, and
sometimes very little. PMMO is setup so that I can comfortably
work at my own pace, and I LOVE it. Member instruments run
the gamut from grand pianos to cheap electronic keyboards.
The only instrument suggestions that Michael makes is that
your keyboard can accept a sustain pedal. I started PMMO with
a Yamaha PSR-292 keyboard and it worked great! H.S.
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
Yes, this course not only is interesting and has LIFE in it.
You won't be bored. Not a minute of it. You will be so motivated
each day to play your songs and this is how you improve. Away
with those boring practices. Away with having 'no idea' of
how to play your songs 100 different ways. The pace is set
by you so there is no pressure and only pleasure, and LOTS
OF FUN. You go at your own comfortable pace. As long as it
is a keyboard where you can play your songs, all of the lessons
can be done on electronic keyboards. But as time goes on,
you will be inclined to get better and better keyboards or
pianos because your skill will improve in such big strides
that you would not even believe it. Rosa
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
I sure hope so. I have an Adagio 8834 something upright digital
(electronic) paino that I am using. It is just a keyboard
in a fancier setting with a few bells and whistles that the
better keyboards probably have or surpass. Sure seems to work
for me.
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
wow
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
An electronic keyboard, (about $500) is all I have, and it
works great! You decide the pace.
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
The pace is as fast, or slow, as you make it. There's no pressure
from anyone else (well, except that everyone shares in everyone
else's successes!). Electronic keyboards, digital pianos,
and acoustics are all welcome! Randy V.
ANSWER (by a Piano Magic Member):
You set the pace, and I use an electronic keyboard as do many
others. Popeye
